Archery for Juniors
Archery is a sport for all ages and for juniors it offers the opportunity to develop new skills whilst improving upper body strength, posture and general fitness. Archery can also improve patience and focus as well as leading to a sense of self achievement.
We run regular archery sessions for juniors aged 8-18yrs on Sundays. These sessions offer juniors the opportunity to practice their archery skills and have fun in a variety of competitions and games.
During our regular shoots we also run the Archery GB Progress Awards scheme where juniors can develop their archery skills to achieve progress badges.
Our junior archery sessions are run by a qualified archery instructor and we have a risk assessment in place based on the Archery GB format.
The cost for the regular sessions is just £10 and includes all equipment hire, coaching and insurance.
The Junior sessions take place on our outdoor range which has a covered and heated shooting area and is located next to our archery lodge where tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available for the juniors, parents and spectators. During particularly inclement weather we can shoot under full cover.
Junior Introductory Courses
We do require juniors to attend an Introductory session before coming to the regular shoots to ensure that they know how to shoot safely and correctly in a group.
If you would like to book a place on a course please email us with your child's name, age and let us know if they are left or right handed and we will then email you when we have another course arranged.
